Bentley, affectionately known as Mr. Bent, passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2025, at the age of 18 which is 126 years old in dog years. The family is not exactly sure when Bentley was born but he arrived with the Langford family in the spring of 2007 from his previous owner Ashely who loved him so much. Bentley was a treasured companion and the first pet of his beloved owner. His presence enriched the lives of all who had the privilege to know him.
Throughout his long life, Bentley exhibited an extraordinary ability to connect with those around him. He was especially attentive to the emotions of his owners, providing comfort and companionship during difficult times. Whether it was a day filled with challenges or moments of sorrow, Bentley instinctively knew when it was time to snuggle closely, offering a sense of peace and solace to soothe the soul.
A dog of notable character, Bentley was known for his sweet disposition and a love for children, particularly bonding with the women in his life. He took great pride in protecting his home and family, always ready to engage in spirited play with other dogs. Mischievous by nature, he delighted in exploring the world around him, whether by peering out the window at the falling snow or watching the hustle and bustle outside. Bentley enjoyed his outdoor adventures, relishing leisurely walks where he could take in the scents of nature, soaking up the moments with a joyful heart.
His routine included visits to the groomer at Red Dog Grooming, where he was cared for with kindness and gentleness, leaving each session feeling rejuvenated. Bentley’s love for eating was a significant part of his character, with an insatiable appetite for any form of meat and a preference for ice-cold, filtered water accompanied by ice chips.
In his later years, Bentley continued to cherish the activities he loved, albeit at a slower pace, often taking more naps but still finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. He left behind a legacy of warmth and love that will forever be cherished by his family, including Sharon, Tony, Anthony, and Sanaa. Tony and Sanaa took special care of him, with Sanaa being his closest companion and best friend.
Bentley was the last to survive and he was born as the runt of his litter and recalls a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. While his physical presence may be missed, the impact he had on the hearts of those who loved him will endure eternally. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of sharing life with this remarkable dog.
