Forest, our beautiful gentle giant and the heart of our pack, passed away surrounded by his family on May 6, 2026. Born on October 1st, 2018, Forest filled every room he entered with love, confidence, comfort, and a presence so special it was impossible to ignore.

A truly majestic Bernese Mountain Dog, Forest had a way of stopping people in their tracks everywhere he went. Strangers instantly became friends, drawn to his striking beauty, calm confidence, and kind soul. He loved being by our side on every adventure, happily meeting new people and soaking up attention from anyone lucky enough to cross his path. Children especially adored him, and he accepted every hug, pet, and clumsy touch with endless patience and gentleness.

Forest was fiercely loyal and deeply protective of the people he loved. He carried himself with quiet strength and confidence, always watching over his family and especially devoted to his person, his dad, whom he loved with his whole heart. Their bond was once in a lifetime.

At home, Forest was the steady center of our pack. He protected and guided his brother Wilbur, allowing him to follow closely behind as his constant shadow. He welcomed every moment with unconditional love and gave us a sense of safety, comfort, and companionship that words cannot fully capture.

One of the greatest gifts of his life was getting to know his baby brother, Cameron. Forest adored being near him, patiently waiting beneath the highchair for the extra snacks and little pieces of food tossed his way at mealtime. Watching their bond grow brought endless joy to our family, and we are so grateful they had time together.

Our hearts are shattered having to say goodbye so suddenly and so soon, at only seven years old, just six months after the loss of our beloved Bosko. Everything progressed so quickly, and although we didn’t know our final moments together would be the last, we will hold onto the countless beautiful memories, adventures, and ordinary days shared with him forever.

Forest was more than a dog. He was a protector, a best friend, a source of comfort, and the soul of our home. The silence and emptiness left behind are impossible to describe, especially for his brother Wilbur, who has now lost his lifelong companion and pack leader.

There will never be another like him. Our lives, our home, and our hearts will never be the same without our handsome boy.

Until we meet again, Forest.
