Your veterinarian may recommend a specific provider, usually a crematory they have contracted with, but you are not required to use their provider. There are some funeral homes that offer pet cremation services, but not many. Strict regulations prohibit cremating animals and humans using the same equipment, so a funeral home that offers pet cremation will have invested in separate equipment. It is important to understand that pet cremation is a developing industry, and there is currently little oversight, so you need to be your own advocate. Yes, we offer scattering services. Some families choose to not have their pets ashes returned to them so we offer a variety of scattering ashes which can consist of choosing a forest, stream, lake, or even from time to time an ocean. When we perform scattering we record a short video to show the family for closure.

When we start to make our way to you, you can wrap your pet in a blanket or towel which you can request to get back or for us to dispose of. Larger dogs a towel placed over is fine. We also have towels/blankets if you don't have anything.

Yes, boxes are fine to use.
